Editor's Review of Piner Skatepark, Santa Rosa

Piner Skatepark is home to many professional skaters who went big. A friend of mine from there once told me “Go Big Or Go Home”, he just got to the park and the first thing he did was misty flip the fun-box.

Piner is a great place to hit up some old school runs and learn to surf bowls but the concrete is a legetimate setback for Skateboarding and Rollerblading.

This park is one of the few that allows bikers, and the worn down pavement doesn’t seem to make a difference for them. Aside from that in all my years of visiting I rarely will see a cop do anything more than drive by, so it’s a plus to not have someone breathing down your neck over not wearing a helmet.

Recently in July 09, Skaters paved the steps on the back of the funbox into a ledge with coping, and also if you bike check out the Bike Park to the north west behind the park.
