Skateverse on Tour

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Hello everyone out there who visits for the Skatepark Photos.

It’s been a couple months since the last update, I’ve been focusing my efforts on an iTune’s competitor called Alien Media Player 10. It’s in heavy development, so please forgive that I’ve neglected to fix things around here, and keep fresh content streaming.

I’m in the talks about Touring the United States and Creating a Straight From The Streets Video. I’ll announce more as I know about it, and checkout the other site to stay informed with what’s the latest. Our goal is to add 15-20 Skateparks Photos and HD Video on the trip! More to Come Soon!!!

Profile Upgrades Underway…

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

I’m setting up the Profile and Account Settings along with similar controls. The Change Password is Complete already, and more should be on their way soon. Also, I’ve Added the Razors G4.1 to the Video Spotlight.

Spotlight Updates

Monday, December 21st, 2009

I’ve been working on customizing the spotlight tool to pull in the most popular / newest videos, I’m happy to say its coming along great. Also, I’ve added thumbnail generation support. I hope to add these to the skatepark sections soon also,

We’re experimenting with forum software, let me know what you think if you have feedback or comments.

Homepage & Theme Adjustments

Monday, November 30th, 2009

I’ve updated the Homepages Styling to look more appealing. Also on the Skatepark pages I’ve added breadcrumbs on all down-steam child pages to their States, and Country.

Things are looking great – momentarily I’ve taken out the Add to Facebook button / functionality until all the specifics get ironed out with a plugin. I’m looking to polish the website the way it is so that I can make additions instead of have a 1/2 working product.

I’m very pleased with how everything is looking so far. My brother is down in Orange County so we should be getting some awesome pictures of Laguna Niguel Skatepark, and possibly Etnies Skatepark / Vans Off the Wall.

So Far this month we’ve sent out 2.2GB of downloads, and had 282 visits for 9037 Pages or 45,715 Hits. We’re excited about our opening and hope to bring you more awesome content soon.

Join & Login Panel Support Added

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Skateverse.com’s Login & Join Panel at the top of the page has been connected to the Content Management System and now supports Login and Registration, Connect to Facebook support is on the way soon.

Aside from this, our main goals are to hammer things out cleaner before we continue to scope San Jose, Oakland and Concord for more Photos.

14 Hour Update

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

It’s been a long upgrade to Skateverse.com, however for the last 14 hours and this morning also I’ve been putting time into the Skatepark’s Pages, Sub-Pages and theme.

Needless to say quite a lot has been done. I’ve prepped the 1700 photos for upload and they’ll soon fill their place on their skatepark’s page.

  • I’ve added some very smooth functionality adding a map on the Skatepark’s Page which later will be color coded for states as we get more skateparks.
  • The California / States page has thumbnails of each park and a list menu also to make selecting a park easy.
  • The Skateparks Page now has integrated the placeholder for the park’s HD-Video or Slideshow depending on content availability.
  • Skatepark Controls, Rating, and Weather Widgets have been reorganized in a new style to make them easier to see and use and more standard across the site.
  • The Theme has an implementation of a new jQuery Login / Registration at the top of the page, which currently awaits to be linked into the Login / User Database.
  • The Footer, Header, Background and Search Bar have been updated / added

Once the Skatepark Pages are operational, I can’t wait to revamp the homepage, bio page and finish theming out the blog & archive pages.

Stay tuned, massive loads of photos and videos are coming very soon!!!

Sacramento Skatepark Surfing

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

Today, Aurora and I went to Sacramento and got 400 Photos of: 28th & B Skatepark, and Granite Skatepark, and we’ve confirmed that Grand Prix Skatepark shutdown in 2008 by a local skater near Pape Equipment

We’ve been experimenting collecting HD Video of the parks to create 3D Panoramas, It seems like It’d turn out a lot better with a tripod, 28th & B was awsome, and Granite Skatepark was overkill on my expectations and wildest dreams of what a skatepark should be.

We’re working on Skateverse.com Development and User Controls at the moment, expect to hear and see some cool things soon.

Underground Development

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Hi Everyone,

I talked to some of you at the skateparks near Vallejo CA. Right now Skateverse.com is underground and in development. I’ve added some basic information to each page and we’re getting the pages setup so they can automatically regulate & update themselves with your photos & videos.
